ENGLISH DUNIYA SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The English Duniya Scholarship Competition (the “Competition”) is sponsored by Zaya Learning Labs Pvt Ltd. , having an address of 404, Zaya Learning Labs, Udyog Mandir 2, Mogul Lane, Mahim West, Mumbai - 400016, Maharashtra India. (“Sponsor” or “Zaya Learning Labs”) with Prizes (defined below) provided by Zaya Learning Labs.
Subject to these Official Rules, the Competition is open to any students in India in grades 2-5 with school fees of Rs.2500 or less per month. Winning students will have to show proof of enrollment and grade level, as well as monthly fee statement. THE COMPETITION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW OR WHERE BONDING, REGISTRATION, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS WOULD BE REQUIRED BUT HAVE NOT BEEN MET, OR WHERE THE METHODS OF ENTRY SET FORTH BELOW WOULD BE DEEMED CONSIDERATION. ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS APPLY.
The Competition begins at 12:00 am (midnight) IST on 13/02/17 and ends at 11:59 pm IST on 26/03/17 (“Entry Period”).
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
No purchase or payment is necessary to participate in the Competition. During the Entry Period, Participating Students can earn points (“Points”) by spending time on the practice nodes, scoring points through the weekly challenge quiz, and through other promotional offers on the English Duniya Android app (the “Zaya Learning Labs Services”). The students with the most points in a given week will receive an e-gift card with a value up to Rs.300. The top 25 students at the end of the Competition will participate in a video or in-person interview to determine the top 3 winners.
Sponsor expressly reserves the right to disqualify any entries or participation that it believes in good faith are generated by automated means or scripts, in violation of these Official Rules or otherwise results from any unsportsmanlike or disruptive conduct, and all such associated entries, including all Points accumulated as a result of such conduct (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) shall be void.
The available prizes (“Prizes”) are as follows:
- 1st place: The student who has qualified for an interview by having one of the top 25 scores and has been selected by the interview committee as the first place winner at the end of the Challenge will win a scholarship up to Rs.30,000.
- 2nd place: The student who has qualified for an interview by having one of the top 25 scores and has been selected by the interview committee as the second place winner at the end of the Challenge will win a scholarship up to Rs.20,000.
- 3rd place:The student who has qualified for an interview by having one of the top 25 scores and has been selected by the interview committee as the third place winner at the end of the Challenge will win a scholarship up to Rs.10,000.
- Weekly prize: The student who has accumulated the most points within a given challenge week will be given a small prize of worth up to Rs.300.
Decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding with respect to all matters related to the Competition. In no event shall the Sponsor or any party providing any Prizes, or any portion thereof, in connection with the Competition (each a “Prize Provider”) be obligated to award any prizes other than the Prizes specified in these Official Rules. The Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions (including, without limitation, for cash) are permitted, except that Sponsor and Prize Provider reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value for any Prize, or any portion thereof, if such Prize, or any portion thereof, should become unavailable for any reason. Sponsor will identify weekly prize winners based on total Points within a given challenge week in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules.
The Competition will be conducted under the supervision of the Sponsor. The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition. The student with the most Points accumulated within a given week will be identified on the Monday of the following week by SMS or email and via social media; provided, however, that Sponsor reserves the right to determine an alternate method of notification.
Sponsor will identify final prize winners based on total Points and performance in the interview, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules.
The Competition will be conducted under the supervision of the Sponsor. The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition. The top 25 students will be notified of their acceptance into the interview round on or around 26/03/17 by SMS or email and via social media; provided, however, that Sponsor reserves the right to determine an alternate method of notification. Following the interview, Sponsor will notify first, second, and third place winners, by SMS or email and via social media; provided, however, that Sponsor reserves the right to determine an alternate method of notification. Sponsor will work with the top 3 winners to give details final prize within 1 month of the notification. Winners will have to provide receipts showing education related expenses up to their scholarship award in order to get reimbursed.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASES
Unless prohibited by applicable law, each Student’s entry into the Competition and/or acceptance of a Prize constitutes permission to use photographs, images, voices, and other identifying information concerning such Student's participation in the contest, in perpetuity and without any compensation to you or any review or approval rights, notifications, or permissions.
An entrant, participant, or winner may be disqualified from the Competition if the entrant or participant fails to comply with each provision of these Official Rules, as determined in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Participation in the Competition is at entrant’s and/or participant’s own risk. Neither Sponsor nor Prize Provider shall be liable for: (1) failed, returned or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the winner in connection with an entry; (2) entries and responses to winner notifications which are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, postage-due, misdirected, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient in whole or in part or for mobile or technical error of any kind; (3) any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed mobile transmissions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate in the Competition; (4) any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile device related to or resulting from downloading any of Sponsor’s products or services or otherwise in connection with this Competition; or (5) any warranty with respect to any Prize or any component thereof. THE PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS” AND SPONSOR AND PRIZE PROVIDER DO NOT MAKE ANY, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL, REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND REGARDING THE PRIZES.
NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING ELSE HEREIN OR OTHERWISE, SPONSOR, PRIZE PROVIDER AND/OR THEIR VENDORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR OBLIGATED WITH RESPECT TO ANY SUBJECT MATTER OF THIS AGREEMENT OR UNDER CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY FOR (A) ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS); (B) DATA LOSS OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; AND/OR (C) ANY MATTER BEYOND SUCH PARTIES’ REASONABLE CONTROL.
By entering or participating in the Competition, each Student agrees to and hereby does release and hold Sponsor, Prize Provider, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives (the “Released Parties”) from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability (collectively, “Claims”) that may arise from your acceptance of any Prize or your participation in this Competition. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Competition may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Official Rules in any way or at any time. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Competition should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Competition. In the event of cancellation or suspension, Sponsor shall promptly post a notice on Sponsor’s website to such effect. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Official Rules otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
